Painter, printmaker, exhibition curator and teacher
From Boston Museum School (SMFA) and Tufts University undergrad to a Masters of Fine Art in Painting from UCLA in 1992, with two traveling scholarships, an NEA Artists Grant and a Printmaking and Painting Fellowship from the Artist Foundation of Massachusetts. In 1980, she founded Artist Proof Cooperative Print Studio in Cambridge, MA. which was honored by the Boston Public Library with an exhibition and catalog “Proof in Print; a community of printmaking studios” for it’s contribution to the development of the painterly print in Boston in 2000. Since moving to Los Angeles, she has had notable exhibitions at L.A.C.E., Jan Baum Gallery, the Brand Art Gallery and at the LA Municipal Art Gallery, where she also curated a historical exhibition, “Connections; LA Printmaking 1962-1973” with research on the impact of printmaking on Los Angeles art. Her recent curatorial projects include the traveling international print exhibition, “ImMigration Project” for LA Printmaking, which has been installed in Denton, Texas, Venice, Italy and last January in Los Angeles at Self Help Graphics. The project includes multiple prints from over 145 artists from North America and Europe. A recent collaborative project, “Paper Boats” will be on view in Venice Italy at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica, in May 2022
